Self Portrait

The artist surrounded by so many clues about himself. I know him and it took me quite a while to see many of them and a few he had to point out. One of the more obvious symbols is the Grateful Dead scarf in his hand. A day without The Dead is a day without sunshine!

Gilroy Cannery

Old Cannery in Gilroy, California. More job loss for people without skills to find anything else. Not easy finding new slave labor jobs out there and Gilroy is very busy improving its image with a new downtown and home remodels and such. Good looking town on the outside. But don’t look too close!

Mare Island Window

Kirt was a medic in Vietnam. He has some strong feelings about that! He was drawn to the decay of the old buildings that were used during that period to ship supplies to SE Asia sitting next to shiny new buildings being used to ship supplies to the Middle East. The more they change the more they stay the same.
